Frequently asked questions
What does IDT supply?
Complete beamlines, and the systems and components that go into them: monochromators, mirror systems, focusing optics, slits and apertures, beam diagnostics, vacuum actuators and stages, and experimental tables. We also offer design, assembly and testing, and support services.
Can you supply a complete beamline?
Yes. We deliver complete beamlines as turnkey projects: beamline design and layout, optical components, controls hardware and EPICS software, testing, installation and commissioning. See our complete beamlines page for examples.
Which facilities have you worked with?
Our equipment is installed at the Advanced Photon Source, NSLS-II, Diamond Light Source, the ESRF, the Australian Synchrotron, the Canadian Light Source, DESY, the Swiss Light Source and ALBA.
Do you provide support after installation?
Yes. We provide post-warranty field support. Instruments are tested at IDT before delivery and again as part of site acceptance tests, and when a call-out is needed we respond promptly to keep downtime to a minimum.
How do I request a quote?
Use the contact form or email enquiries@idtnet.co.uk with a short description of your beamline and what you need. Our systems are tailored to each beamline, so we quote for each project individually.
Tell us about your beamline
Send us a short description of the beamline and what you need. An engineer will reply.
